To serve clients with turnkey solutions, we support your projects by offering a wide selection of value-added services.

Design Support

Customized containers help ensure an ideal fit for your specific goods, enhancing product protection during storage and transport. We offer 13 CAD-based design systems to meet all customer, military, and industrial specifications.

Prototyping Capabilities

We provide prototyping services to develop custom containers for your sales presentations, trade show demonstrations, and more. Order requests for prototypes follow standard production routing but will be under the close supervision of an assigned engineering team member.

Tooling Design and Fabrication

Our 9,600-square-foot in-house tool and die shop houses more than 40 pieces of primary equipment. We also have an on-site foundry to create casting sleeves for deep drawing.

Engineering and Fabrication

For markets ranging from the military to the commercial sector, ZERO’s skilled designers, engineers, and tool and die makers have the expertise to satisfy your most complex design requirements and create customized solutions.

Welding

Our team of AWS-certified welding professionals can handle most welding projects in-house. Our capabilities include tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), seam welding, and spot welding.

Preparation

ZERO has several capabilities to prepare surfaces for additional processing, such as:

Chem film that meets MIL-C-5541 Class 1A and Class 3 certifications
Etching
Heat treatments for aluminum alloys (AMS 2770)
Weld preparation and cleaning

Anodizing

On products made from aluminum or other metal varieties, anodizing produces a durable, corrosion-resistant surface layer for enhanced protection and visual appeal. Our anodizing options include:

Type II anodizing. This technique generates an anodized layer ranging from 0.0002″ to 0.0009″.
Type III anodizing. With Type III anodizing, we create an anodized layer of ≤0.002″. However, 0.0005″ is generally our goal so that our products can comply with military specifications (MIL-Spec).

Decorative Silkscreening and Embossing

The ZERO team can help you personalize your enclosure or case by printing on or embossing it with your requested text, numbering, company logo, or branding information. We can also apply aesthetically pleasing graphics to provide the desired container appearance.

Painting and Powder Coating

Painting and powder coating can help you achieve the look you want while increasing surface protection. Our dedicated paint facility allows us to offer painting services using enamel and water-based paints, powder coating, and several other finishing options.

Inspection Capabilities

ZERO considers quality one of our core competencies, one that’s backed by our ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certifications. We thoroughly inspect your products before shipping, ensuring your production run meets your specifications by using:

Warranty

At ZERO, we stand behind our products. Our warranty covers the materials and workmanship of your manufactured goods for one year, starting on the date of shipment. Our Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale can provide additional details.
